Getting the best out of your home recordings
We love mixing audio. Whether you have recorded in a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like Studio One, Reaper, Logic Audio etc or on a multitrack Zoom or Tascam portastudio, we can take your stems and mix to a new level.

We can work with most genres. We are non-judgemental - if your music is important to you then it matters to us.
What we can do
Taking your stems (individual song parts with no EQ, effects or compression unless they were recorded with them) we can reassemble them in our DAW (Studio One Pro 7) and using our experienced ears, quality speakers and large range of software tools, hopefully create a better mix for you. Its a combination of all these elements, along with basic stem preparation before mixing that can produce results.
Often you have spent a long time writing and recording tracks and far too long labouring over mixing. There are hundreds of variables and tweaks and how do you know which are the right ones? Our fresh ears take a pragmatic approach to hopefully see the whole wood, not the trees.
If you have recorded to a portastudio you won't have nearly enough EQs, compressors or quality effects to mix a great song. Equally even if you have a DAW you may not have a comprehensive range of software tools to nail each part. We do. We have a lot of quality plugins and a lot of experience using them.
What we use
Studio One Pro 7 is the the DAW at the heart of our studio. Spectralayers Pro 12 along with Izotope RX tools enable us to clean stems removing or reducing clicks, pops, squeaks, etc. Melodyne Studio can fix tuning issues in most instruments (and yes vocals) including polyphonic parts such as guitars. It's also ideal for targeted de-essing and surgical repairs. Soundforge is our go-to wave editor for general surgical work.
We have AI noise reduction tools that are simply magic. We have professional compressors and limiters that emulate expensive hardware, and a plethora of effects for all instruments from Waves, Izotope, Universal Audio, Presonus etc. Working with stems also enables us to replace drum parts that you are not happy with triggers great sounds in XLN Audio Addictive Drums.
Just to say ...
We only work on original songs which you own the rights to. We don't provide this service to mix / remix stems from commercial songs - sorry!
For best results your tracks should be at least 16bit 44.1Khz wav files - MP3 stems have inherent timing issues and don't line up well.
